What does a Liffey Metals partner earn?

Do I keep earning on repeat sellers?

You can sell to us, but no commission is paid on your own lots, your household's, or anyone acting for you. Treat the code as something you give to other people.

Who it's for

Anyone with a community that trusts them: admins of local Facebook groups and buy-and-sell pages, vintage and antique groups, GAA and parish clubs, residents’ associations, WhatsApp groups, newsletter writers, and people who are simply the one everyone asks about this sort of thing.

You do not need to know anything about gold. You introduce; we test, price and pay. Jewellers and dealers who want to sell their own metal should look at a business account instead.

Your code and links

When you are approved we give you a code, and everything else is built from it. Taking PRIYA as the example:

Post it in your group, pin it, put it in a bio. It opens our homepage and quietly remembers you for 90 days in that person’s browser.

Opens a chat with us that starts “Hi, PRIYA sent me”, so we know straight away.
QR code: Download it (PNG or SVG) from your partner page. Print it on a flyer, a poster in the club, or a card for the counter. Scans are attributed to you like the web link.
Said out loud: People can just tell us “PRIYA sent me” on WhatsApp or the phone, or type the code into the referral box on our request form. Any of these works.

How attribution works

A person is attributed to you the first time they reach us through you: your link, your QR code, your WhatsApp link, or your code given on a form or in a message.

First touch wins. If someone already follows another partner’s link, or has dealt with us before, they are not yours, even if they use your code later. We do not switch people between partners.
It sticks. Once attributed to you, that person’s later lots and purchases stay yours, for as long as you are a partner. You do not need to re-refer them.
The cookie lasts 90 days. If someone clicks your link today and requests a Bosca two months later from the same browser, it still counts. After that, they can simply give your code.
We can fix mistakes. If a seller tells us they came from you and the system missed it, we can tag the lot to you by hand. Every change is logged.

What you earn

2% on metal we buy. When we pay a seller you introduced for their lot, you earn 2% of the amount we actually paid them. A €1,500 payout earns you €30.
1% on metal we sell. When a person you introduced buys bullion, grain or anything else from us, you earn 1% of the sale value excluding VAT.

Those are the standard rates. If we agree different rates with you they are shown in your partner page and apply to deals from then on. Commission is earned only when the deal completes: a declined quote, a returned lot or a cancelled order earns nothing.

Getting paid

We pay everything owed to you at least once a month, by bank transfer to the IBAN or Revolut account you gave us. It must be in your own name. Each payment is recorded in your partner page with its reference, and we email you when it goes out.

If a deal is reversed after we paid you commission on it (an item turns out to be stolen, say) we take it back from a later payment rather than asking you for it.

Your partner page

Sign in at liffeymetals.com/login with the email you applied with. We send you a link; there is no password. The page shows:

Your code, web link, WhatsApp link and QR code downloads.
Every lot and order you introduced: date, Bosca number, current stage, and the commission it earned.
What you are owed right now, and what has been paid, with payment references.

It never shows a seller’s name, address or contact details, and sellers never see yours.

What your people get

The same service as everyone else, at the same published prices. You are not costing them anything: the commission comes out of our margin, not their payout.

A quote based on the published daily price. Decline it and everything is posted back.
Payment to their own bank account, usually within two working days of accepting.

The rules

Be honest about what we do. Describe the service in your own words, but do not promise prices or timings beyond what our website says.
No spam, no cold messages to strangers, no paid ads using our name, and do not post your code where the owners have not allowed it.
You are an independent referrer, not part of Liffey Metals. Do not quote, negotiate or collect anything on our behalf.
No commission on your own lots, your household’s, your business’s, or anyone acting for you.
Never refer anyone you suspect is selling what is not theirs. If in doubt, tell us.
Either side can stop at any time. Commission already earned is still paid.

The binding version of all this is the Partner Agreement, which you accept when you apply.
